Most professionals recommend never to plant directly into decorative planters on account of:
Water Build-Ups: Which lead to root rot, pest infestations & overall botanical decay.
Aeration Requirements: Plants prefer their roots to be given opportunity to breathe through exposure to oxygen.
Clean with a damp cloth when required & remove plant prior to water applications.
